This is Tristan, a 1967 race-prepared Spitfire Mk3, and me, Susan Hensley. I bought the car in 1998 from Bert Rupp, who raced him in SCCA events around the area.

Tristan has a 1300 engine prepared to Kas Kastner's specifications in his Factory Competition Manual. He has Mallory electronics, an Accusump, and a Pyrotect fire suppression system. With the full race engine he gets 104 hp at the rear wheels. He currently sits on 8 1/2" cantilever Yokohama tires on 6" wheels.

I am hoping to run him in Vintage racing, but will need to do some work  to accomplish that goal, since he has flares and a fiberglass bonnet and deck lid, and the wrong wheels and tires. Racing is out this year, due  to my buying a house, but hopefully next year we'll be out on the track again. In the meantime -- autocross
