The yellow Spitfire has been a race car since the mid-60's. It was "built" and raced by a fellow in Portland, Oregon named Tom Luking. It once held the lap record at Road Atlanta, so I'm told by Mr. Luking. 

It was raced quite successfully in SCCA up and down the Pacific Coast, PIR, Seattle, Laguna Seca, etc. I'm trying to restore it to its former glory, both mechanically and cosmetically, in that order. I'm still working on the mechanical part.
