This is the ex R. John Lye car which has been
racing since new. It has mild fender flares which were installed in 1965.
It seemed to be a mid-pack car before John started autocrossing it. He
consistently turned in FTD in the VTR autocrosses. |

Car is SCCA spec plus some other mods such as
bigger bore, weber carbs, vented brakes. This car was originally raced by
Lou Giggliotti, who now races in the SCCA's Trans-AM series. It was his
first race car. Lou raced it in 1971, 1972 an 1973, running Nationals in
73. He set some lap records at Watkins Glen, and beat Group 44 in the rain
at Pocono. He went on to the runoffs in 73. |

there is. I may chose to bring my TR-2 street car if the Italia isn't
ready. Or I may bring my Rover 3500 if neither are ready. Or I may hitch
hike if nothing's ready!! But I'm goin' to try real hard to be at this
one! |
